Photoshop

In some of my images, I experimented with Photoshop to see if I could develop my images. My teacher showed us some blending techniques we could use, so I chose to experiment with my experimental photos. I chose to use a portrait of Joanna, and the landscape of sparklers.

Photos used; Joanna and Sparklers.

I looked at three blending tools; Multiply, Lighten, and Overlay. The Multiply tool allows me to remove any light areas of photos so the background layer is shown through it. However, Joanna was the lightest part of the image so when I used this tool you couldn't see her at all, meaning this tool wasn't suitable for these photos. The Overlay tool also didn't work because of the light areas being removed again.
The Lighten tool meant that all dark areas was removed, meaning that Joanna was on show in the background. It ended in a great result so I may use this technique when developing my Weird and Wonderful ideas.

Using the Lighten tool.
